Everything You Want To Know

CAN I REVIEW THE VIDEO BEFORE IT’S FINALIZED?

Once the film is finished; it will be uploaded onto a USB and delivered to you at home. If there's anything about it you wish to be corrected or altered there are a couple of options on how to approach; I'll make the desired edits from home and either send you a fresh USB in the post or (if the file isn't too large) upload it onto Google Drive to be downloaded from your end.

WHEN WILL THE FILM BE READY?

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOUR SERVICES?

It's preferable to book me at least 6 months in advance of your big day. However there are exceptions where I may have late availability, in any case I'm always open to enquiries.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR DEPOSIT? AND WHEN MUST IT ALL BE PAID OFF?

The deposit is 25% of the total price at the time of booking, with the remaining balance to be paid off no later than 30 days before the date of the wedding.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HIGHLIGHT REEL AND A TRAILER?

The Highlight Reel is a montage of the key/ best moments from the day, the average length is between five - seven minutes and it is edited to the sound of a song relevant to the day (usually that of the first dance or walking down the aisle song). This reel is placed at the very end of the film, as well as being saved on your USB stick on its own as a separate file so you can watch it anytime you like.

The Trailer is a shorter video - usually between two and three minutes long - that showcases snippets of the day and acts as a little teaser. This is made with originally composed music from myself, which makes it suitable for sharing on social media.

THE USE OF MUSIC IN MY WEDDING FILM?

Editing takes most of the time to give it that magic touch. On average I'm able to have the film finished and delivered within 12 weeks after the big day. I also have a Monday - Friday job to keep up with and at times other projects to complete, but I've yet to miss a deadline when it comes to delivering a finished product on time.

DO YOU USE A DRONE?

Unfortunately I don't own a drone at this time.

ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS OR ALLERGIES?

Every film I make for a client requires the purchase of a music license from a company called PRS, this allows me to use a wide range of famous songs and artists from the likes of Elvis Presley and Ed Sheeran in my work. This specific license (namely; The Limited Manufacture License) allows for the use of popular music in the wedding film which will be viewed at home by friends and family via the USB stick, but does not allow the work/film to be put on social media as this would infringe the terms.

This is why I advise strongly against uploading the Film and/or Highlight Reel to social media, as (worst case scenario) this could potentially cause issues with copyright somewhere down the line.

This is why The Trailer is designed to be a happy alternative, using music I have composed myself means  the Trailer can be shared on social media, so you can still share that memorable day with the world.

If you're curious to know more about the copyright and licenses; feel free to read about it here.

No, though I choose not to eat lobster because I don't like the way they're cooked.

HOW FAR ARE YOU WILLING TO TRAVEL?

I'm based in North Tyneside, previously I've travelled to work weddings as far as Otterburn and Bishop Auckland, and one down in Crawley for a family friend. But I'd say I'm only willing to remain in the North East region for now.

WHAT IF I LOSE MY USB?

I keep copies of my completed work digitally, if anything should happen to your USB you can always purchase a new one, or if the file size of the film is small enough it may be shared via Google Drive.

WHAT TIME DO YOU USUALLY ARRIVE?

With the Standard Package; I aim to arrive at least two hours prior to the ceremony beginning, this is so I can make my introductions and get to work setting up, getting shots I need, and prepared for the ceremony. If I'm booked for coverage of the Bridal/Groom preparations then I'll arrive much sooner, at an agreed upon time.
